IDEA Hearing the Sun

Untitled

I would like to continue my previous solar project to create more different sounds using vibration motors. Perhaps using the AS7341 11-channel spectral sensor to detect the color of the sunlight, and then the sunlight at different times will cause the vibration frequency of the motors to change, or drive different motors, so that different sounds can be created. But what needs to be considered is when it works and when it should rest.

AS7341My initial idea was to use a pulse sensor to control the servos and use ocean drums to calm people down with the frequency of our heartbeat.

Building Your Own Spectrometer

My initial idea was to use solar energy to make natural sounds, like ocean. So intially, I decided to use a pulse sensor to control the servos and use ocean drums to calm people down with the frequency of our heartbeat.

But unfortunately, I found that as soon as I used the servo with the pulse sensor, the servo made some noise. They would spin for no reason, even though I wasn't using any line of code to control it to spin. I checked the official website of the pulse sensor and it also mentions the same noise problem.

Pulse Sensor Servo Tutorial

Although I followed the official tutorial to add an extra power supply and two capacitors. The servo were still move. After many tries, I gave up on using the pulse sensor.

So now this device just has a switch, two servos, and an LED light. When the switch is turned on, it uses the energy from the battery to make the servos turn back and forth and make a sound.

Then because I put some reflective material under the drum, it will create some reflections. I hope it looks like water ripples.

Sorry I am not good at fabrication, this still looks very incomplete now.
